Winter Parking Violations

Honeyville City has an ordinance regarding winter parking.

Please be aware of the following as we will be enforcing the ordinance.

6-1-4: WINTER PARKING

  1. Obstructing Snow Removal Prohibited: It shall be unlawful for an individual to park or leave unattended any vehicle on or near any street of the city in such a way that it will obstruct or interfere in any way with the removal of snow from said street.
  2. Impoundment: Any vehicle parked along any street in violation of subsection A of this section shall, at the direction of the city agent in charge of snow removal, be towed away to an impoundment area and the owner thereof shall pay all costs and expenses of towing and impoundment before being allowed to retake said vehicle.
  3. Penalty: Any individual who shall violate the terms and provisions of subsection A of this section shall be guilty of a Class C misdemeanor and shall, upon conviction thereof, be subject to penalty as provided in section 1-4-1 of this code.

The city not only owns where the pavement is but several feet off the street as well.  We need this entire area clear to properly remove snow.  It is vital that we keep the streets clear for the safety of our staff and for our citizens.

If you receive a letter, it serves as a one-time warning.  The next time you are found in violation your vehicle will be towed.
